Lisa Marie Rowberry
LisaMarie comes from a family of choral singers and has a love for both listening to and singing choral music. She is enjoying being part of the musical artistry of Belle Voci.
She hails from the southwest, was taught music by her mother, and played the violin in folk bands. She has sung in college choirs and locally with Serenata Singers, Valley Festival Singers, and Pacifica Singers.
A versatile vocalist, Lisamarie discovered Italian opera late in life, which became a passion. In addition to musical theatre roles, she has sung roles with small opera companies across the lower mainland, such as Romeo in I Capuleti ei Montecchi, both Norma and Adalgisa in the opera Norma, Nicklauss/the Muse in Le Contes d’Hoffman, Lola in Cavelleria Rusticana, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Fenena in Nabucco, and has been a witch in Macbeth more times than she can count. She will be singing both Amelia and the sorceress Ulrica in the upcoming Un Ballo in Maschera with Vancouver’s only repertory company, Opera Pro Cantanti.
She works for the European tour company One Life Tours, or Eat and Drink Like a European, the very best European tours for both students and adults!
