Sarah Anderson-Caulfield is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Opera. In Spring 2018, she was pleased to be the soprano soloist in Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore and in Schubert’s Messe in G alongside the Kwantlen Chorus. Another highlight came in singing arias from Messiah with the Borealis string ensemble. As part of the trio Erdenlied (with Andrea Pedro, piano & Benjamin MacRae, clarinet) she won the Senior Canadian Chamber category at the 2017 BC Provincial music festival. She is the grateful recipient of a Jill and Mike Yonchak Scholarship for her self-accompanied recording of the Welsh folk song “Lwynn Onn.” Other accolades include awards from local and provincial music festivals, as well as scholarships from the UBC and KPU Faculties of Music.
Sarah has enjoyed singing with Belle Voci and the Chilliwack Symphony over several years. At age sixteen, she was featured in the soprano duet of Handel’s Dixit Dominus with the CSO. She returned to perform the role of Papagena in their production of The Magic Flute.
When not singing, Sarah likes to read and spend time outdoors.
